Many "Salvage Yards" are using computers to share parts availability these days.
Check with a larger salvage yard in another city. Call Pick a part in Anaheim, they have several locations, and probably have things like this on the computer, already pulled from the vans.
On my sister's car, the door switch that energized the light also brought on a solenoid in the seat belt to retract it. Check the voltage to the retractor, if it has a wire going to it. IT might be a door switch problem, or problem with power to the switch.
