Secondary propane tank

It was doing the same with the old regulator, which was 30 psi as well.
Going to try jiggling the switch on the auto one, if no go, then a new one it is. May not be a Cadillac, as options are limited here in the great white north.

Ten years old? Get a new one.

I would see a sliver of green once in a while from this tank. Would be for a short time and then gone. When I changed the red regulator, again a sliver of green for a short time only.
Trailer is 10 years old, 3 to me. Until recently I have been switching out the main tank. On a permanent site now, so need 2 tanks to switch when we are not there. Both tanks are new this year.

Has the secondary tank ever caused the green to show on the gauge? Or is this a recent occurrence?

There are 2 regulators:
One is an "auto switchover" on the curb side.
The other is a "red" 30 psi (replaced recently, did not solve the problem), pigtailed to the second tank on the driver side.Then a line to the first regulator. I beleive this is so you don't have high pressure gas line going through the trailer to the other side.
There was no indication of foreign substance in the lines when I replaced the red regulator.

There have been a couple of discussions here about gas deteriorating the inside of the hose and causing a "black" oil substance building up in the line.

I have found it in some of the tubing, but never blocking the line.

What did you mean by "Replaced the red regulator". The only thing that came to my mind was starboard side. Possibly separate regulators.

Since your tanks are on different sides do you have one long pigtail and one short to the regulator?

Possibly some of this oil blocking some of the pressure?

I'll try to loosen it up.
Need indicator to work eventually so we know when that tank is empty.
I did put a guage directly on the tank, but too early to tell if it is accurate.
