Secure TV during travel

I just installed a 19" Naxa NT1907 in my TC. There was already a wall mount installed (2 arm style). The set isn't that heavy but the spec claims 5# (I'd guess half that). I noticed that the mount without TV will sometimes swing out from the wall during travel if we hit a bump right/wrong. Since this mount doesn't have a locking mechanism, I'm curious if there is a standard approach to secure it?

So far, I'm considering:
* Bungee cord around set to base of mount
* Heavy duty velcro on 2nd arm to base plate
* Replace mount with unit that includes lock

Any thoughts?
  • I have the stationary mount and the swivel with lock on my TV's

  • I installed a nylon strap with plastic fasteners to hold my 24" TV on swing arm in place.
