I've measured the draw of many residential ref. and found most of them use about 1.5 kWh per day. If you're inverter is 80% efficient that's about 156 Ah at 12v. To only draw your batteries down to 50% depth of discharge you would need at least 312 Ah just for the ref.
A set of 8L16 batteries would give you about 375 Ah. Or, 2 sets of golf cart batteries would give you about 430 Ah.
I agree that a 1,000 watt PSW inverter should be enough. Magnum makes a good one.
