Securing New Residential Fridge Doors/Power Needs

I want to install this in place of my Norcold N821. I need some ideas on how to secure the doors, besides bungee cords. Also, I can't find the exact power requirements, but can I get some ...

I need educating. So, I connect the batteries to the inverter, plug the fridge into the inverter. What about when I am on shore power? Is it supposed to run like this all the time, through the inverter? Thanks. I was thinking of using Xantrex inverter.
