Self Leveling Roof Sealant?

Maybe I'm paranoid! I recently took my new leftover 2012 Amerilite (still under warranty) TT for it's first 260 mile trip, It was raining moderate to heavy the entire way and when I reached my destination I noticed about a red solo cup full of water in the bath tub and on the floor of the bathroom looking up I noticed a drop of water getting ready to drip from the corner of the skylight over the tub. Upon returning home I put a ladder up the side and climbed up to take a look. What I found shocked me, the sealant around every vent and seam appeared to have been applied with a caulking gun in a kind of sewing stitch pattern and it appears that it skinned over before it self leveled leaving little butt cracks between each bead where the beads never quite flowed together as they should have. My old TT was a 1998 Amerilite that I purchased new in 99 and I never resealed the roof and never had a leak however the sealant they used back then looked more like it had been poured on at the consistency of sorghum molasses or something slightly thicker and genuinely self leveling. Does anyone know what that pourable sealant was? All I see these days is the Dicor stuff in a caulk tube and if that is whats up there now I want no part of it because it obviously isn't truly self leveling!
  • Buy you some self leveling, clean the top with a soft brush to get the loose dirt off and let it rip with the self leveling caulk. Be generous with it and cove all the cracks and then see if she leaks.
