The generator I have in the sound deadening box that I have posted pictures of here before is a EU1000i Honda. It will drive a 40a converter and no more. It has well over 1500 hours on it and it still starts first pull when the solar output is not sufficient for our needs and that is quite often in Winter months. I am 73 years old with severe arthritis and pulling the start cord is no problem. Electric start would be a waste of money and unwanted additional weight (Gen weights 29#). I have added a remote mag grounding button inside so I don't have to go outside to shut it off when generator hours apply. I have a 3 gallon outboard gas tank connected to it and when it has to run most of the day that tank will last close to a week. Honda EU series is the only portable generator that has a fuel pump to make a remote fuel tank work properly.
