We have all of our items purchased in the US shipped to Pick It Up in Sumas. It is only a 30 min drive for us which makes it convenient. For some things, even with the dollar difference it is still cheaper to buy in the US... Just did this with my awning fabric.

Maybe not quite so convenient for you, unless you know someone close to the boarder that is able to pick up your package and send it to you.
