Spring 1962 I about fell to my knees when the smiling counterman quoted twenty-six dollars each plus tax. Fifty-two dollars was more than two-week's pay. You guessed it, I got extra stupid and and took the school bus (the shame of it all) to make do with being destitute.
Recap tires that saw three or four times being molded with new tread. BAM! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! The tires came with a one-week warranty. Some threw the tread three blocks away from the tire shop. Six hundred miles distant we got XERB Wolf Man Jack at night. "One million watts, babies! Comin atcha from The Tower Of Power in Rosarito Beach Baja California Mexico"
The Wolfman never set foot in Mexico. Tapes were transported by car from L.A.
