The oxygenics from Amazon was what I did. It was worth the $36.00.

Replacing just the split ring won't be possible, however it may not be necessary, The seal may be an "O Ring" type inside the head.. If it's not leaking I'd coat it in GOOP or something as good and let it set or a few hours.

If you feel the need to replace: You replace just the shower hose, any hardware, Home Improvement store or department, and many Dollar stores, Big Lots and such will all have shower hoses,, heck, I've even got two spares.

It's definitely the hose fitting that's cracked. The head is the small-end/male, while the hose has the large-end/female. It's a standard replacement item. No need to over tighten, either, snug will do.

the hose has a fitting on each end, threaded to go on the supply end and on the shower head. go to walmart and look at replacement hoses.
