This is a Goal Zero Yeti 400 that functions as an UPS for my laptop, sat reciever and Tailgater (and other stuff). The unit uses a 35 ah AGM batt (dunno the group number). I have added two UPC UB12350 batts for a total of 100ah. I may add two more in the future.
Because I am using extremely small generators (450w, 900w), I have to consider the output limits of the genny. Yes, I have large gennies but the point is to keep everything as small and lightweight as practical.
The genny would not be running overnight. However, 12 hours or more per day would be typical, and then running on batts overnight.
With such tight tolerances on genny output vs charger draw--and the need to use a high-draw charger--I need to balance my resources, including how hard to work the batts, possibly into an early grave.
