well you lost me in your logic
a 450w genny should have no problem powering 300w load
and then there is NO use of battery resource, so you start the night with a full battery instead of batteries that are only half charged
if you need 600w and only had 450w genny, then using a 600w inverter while charging would make sense
but to use the genny at a 100~200w load charging while discharging the battery 100w makes no sense, when the generators available can handle the load
especially for 12hrs
now if the load is intermittent and the generator can't top charge, while also doing powering the load, it becomes more understandable
but i would just run the 900w genny
