The HF 750 watt 2-stroke handles the Megawatt up to around 13.7 volts on a flooded 85 amp hour group 24. When wattage decreases, voltage can then be ramped up. This is petty inexact science but perhaps you can gain something out of it. The secret is to start the power supply minus the load. Then apply the load. I do it with a 50-amp rated switch.

With those 10-turn pots, the BORG will work with just about any generator.
Turn pot down. Start generator. Let it warm up. Adjust pot until generator load maxx's. Who cares how many amps. It is what it is. As battery charges, generator unloads. Adjust pot upward to compensate. With Vernier Dials, max recommended voltage setpoint is obvious.
