slide is tearing new vinyl floor.. HELP

We just had all the carpeting taken out of our 2001 Fleetwood Flair 31 A. A vinyl linoleum type product was laid down. The first few times there were no issues bringing the dinette/kitchen slide in and out. But this time the slide has torn the new vinyl. I can see that the kitchen counter has pulled away from the wall. The floor of the slide has dropped. If I push against the counter and lift/raise while pushing I can get it back into position. I have put some shims between the main floor and the bottom of the slide floor. But I need to get this corrected and fast. The wife is not amused with this shim arrangement. What solutions or suggestions can you offer. Thanks. Bill

  • You may have to access the rollers from the outside under the slide. Pull off the lower seal to access the rollers. I need to check my kitchen slide rollers, I'm having marks on my counter top. I hope this helps.
  • I don't recall seeing any rollers in the cabinets or under the drawers that I pulled out. I had them all out today and looked and cleaned under there really well. Everything appears to be built on top of a plywood base. That base appears to be carrying the load of the kitchen and dinette. I really need to figure out who manufactured my slide and how it is supposed to operate. No manuals came with the unit when I purchased it used. 2001 Fleetwood Flair 31A
  • If the slide has rollers, see if you can access them through the lower cabinets, one may be out of adjustment or failed ...
