slide out stopped sliding

Help. While putting slide out out it just stopped. Now can't get it in or out. We hand cranked it. Any idea what problem could be? We have a 21ft rockwood Mimi lite.
Thanks

  • Happened to one of our slides earlier this year. For us, one of the motors died (or they said something possibly of coiled up). Motor was replaced under extended warranty and works good now...I suggest watching some youtube videos on them...we learned some things after the fact. You can do a by pass and if the motor is not broke, you can get it to retract. Also learned to not stop the slide in the middle of it going out or in. You amy also need to run the slide in and out 3 times to get it to reset. That is after you can get it moving...

Also, find the slide controller. There should be a way written on it about getting a code from it, it will tell you what the problem is.
  • Slideouts draw a lot of power directly from the house battery. Is you battery fully charged?
  • I couldn't tell, from profile if your slide is electric or hydraulic operated.
    Suspect it is electric.
You didn't mention noise. It may be a breaker or fuse. Look in manual for fuse or breaker location.
If it was still making noise it could have sheared a pin on the gear that moves ths slide on the geared rail.
I don't think it is hydraulic operated.
For any electric issue get a small case with fuse puller, for the several sizes, most usually 2,5,10,15,20 amp auto type fuses. They have them at auto stores or did pretty cheap.
Failing fuse or breaker, and pin which you won't have get a mobile tech to come check it out, if convenient.
He will tell you what it is and may be able to fix it right there. If it is the motor it will probably have to be ordered but if itis a common occurence, for your RV he may find one quickly.
