Slide out

Upon arrival today at the campground our electric bedroom slide will not come out. I looked at the fuses and it said that fuse 11 was for the bedroom slide and basement lights. The light in the front basement will not come on either. Checked the bulb and it is fine. Guessing that fuse 11 controls that light and the slide. Now on the sofa sleeper since I can't squeeze into the bedroom. Any ideas on what is wrong?

  • If its a motor home ours has to have the emergency brake on and the drivers seat all the way forward.
  • on our MH the parking brake must be applied before the slides will move.
  • Power for slideouts typically are wired directly to battery vs the DC Dist. Panel.

Look for wires coming off battery terminal, trace them looking for an in-line fuse holder or a small box with 2 studs (dc circuit breaker). I would imagine that it would be 30A at least
  • Try swapping the fuse anyway. If you don't have a spare you can always rob one temporarily from another slot. Then start looking for a wire connection that is not making up. Most slides can be moved manually. Check your book.
