Signature TT has a single superslide with 3' of extension. It is hydraulically operated with a single cylinder. both ends of the cylinder are threaded and stick through holes in the frame and slide. There are two nuts on either end, one on the 'push' side and one on the 'pull' side of the hole.
In the event of a hydraulic failure I carry two wrenches to remove the nuts at either end and dismount the cylinder. In its place I will install two large eyebolts with large washers. I carry a come along which I will attach to the eyebolts, suck the slide in, and go home.
