Since buying my new Springdale in July, we have blown the 30 amp fuse to the slide twice while operating it. Both times it blew while we were stopped and parked and nothing else was running. No one was in the slide, and no heavy weight was in it. Just normal easy operation. The last time this happened was Sunday while at the dump station. Thankfully it was within a half inch from fully in when it happened since we didn't have a spare fuse. We had a two mile city drive to get back home.
Is this normal, or should I look to a cause? Thanks!
Blowing a fuse is never normal...
Find the cause - sticky mechanical connections for the slide slide, low voltage at the motor due to undersized wire or bad connections, faulty motor, binding, operating the slide when not level, etc, etc...
