inverters are NOT new technology
what is new is the proliferation of cheap digital control circuits
20yrs ago what we think of as PSW, was almost unheard of , inverters were used for power tools motors and lighting, and they worked and still work
it is the abundance of cheap light weight unfiltered MsW which as caused all this MSW is BAD thinking, my Tripp Lite will run rings around many so called PSW inverters last years longer with out damaging motors or GOOD electronics
the only thing that doesn't like it is the cheap digital control on the electric blanket
but it doen't let the smoke out ..like it might with a $19 special
it just doesn't operate correctly, giving an error and refusing to turn on
many so called PSW are much more cheaply built than my PV1250
it is erroneous to say MSW is bad..what is bad expecting a cheap electronics to work correctly with other cheap electronics
