They do specify the ANL fuse size to be for the 4000w surge amount, not a smaller size fuse that would be for the 2000w rating
That makes sense to me. The fuse as protection of the last resort.
The old MSW I was trying to use has a small blade fuse, but it was the internal electronics that shut it down when overloaded. Don't recall ever having blown a fuse with it. But the internal overload protection is very fussy.
Which is probably just as well, as I previously destroyed a smaller inverter that would actually run the grinder slowly for awhile then cut-off. Wait awhile, repeat, eventually get ground coffee, and eventually it died. Hmmm, sounds like what you were doing with the Uwave and the Cantire/Xantrex. Hopefully I've learned my lesson.
