I still don't get it, but never mind. OK how about this approach?
We have heard on here that it doesn't matter if your 55 amp converter, 25 feet from the batteries with too long and thin wire can't do its 55 amps, because the wire is limiting the amps so you can get away with a smaller battery fuse like my rig's OEM 40a fuse for the 7355 that never can get near 55 on its OEM thin long wiring (I have changed that, but never mind) ( At least that is what ISTR)
So for the sake of argument, if that is so, then why can't an inverter be under-wired for gauge, since all it will do is have a huge voltage drop and hit its 10.5v shut-off? That will stop the amps flow before any wire melts?
