I was not criticizing Xantrex--and I know all the others do the same thing--but to me it stinks to high heaven that they get to "lie" about the capacity. (Thanks for pointing out the last sale--I did buy one on the strength of your experiences with it).
I think you will find, that to make matters worse, that your genny (and mine) are 2800 VA not 2800 watts--which makes the "real" numbers even lower. It is a swindle.
