There is another recent thread with a poster having issues with a small inverter, which is distant from the batteries, trying to power a bedroom TV over the manufacturer provided wiring
If you want to install a distant ( from batteries) inverter, you are going to need thicker wiring than the manufacturer ran to the Tv area, especially if you plan to plug the inverter into a 12v power port/ciggy receptacle.
NO WAY, did the manufacturer run 10AWG, and even that gauge might not be enough to run a distant inverter powering both a TV and a Laptop with a depleted laptop battery.
And Ciggy plugs and receptacles, are a horrible eletrial connector. You do not want them powering inverters unless the wattage is never going to exceed 40 watts, if that.
The Ciggy plug and receptacle might be ubiquitous and convenient but they are horrible, and it is always best to bypass them in any critical task or when additional voltage drop is going to be a concern.
your linked product is quite expensive for what it is.

If you uplug in an inverter into a 12v ciggy receptacle/powerport using the wire guage the factory provided, the included voltmeter will make it obvious that he wire gauge the factory ran is completely inadequate for the load of TV and a alptopm, adn perhaps just the TV itself.
