Most vehicle 12V plugs have 20A or 30A fuses. 20A @ 12V is 240W.
Not sure if this unit can handle 300W on an "extended" basis. I don't know if I would be comfortable enough to leave a 250+W load plugged in to a cigarette lighter UNATTENDED !
I do believe the max for 12v vehicle outlets is a 15 amp fuse.
