When it's really humid, the temp may not start to drop for 15 minutes. It takes energy to precipitate water and that energy sucks a lot of the ability of the AC to cool. Measured a foot distant from the outlet my thermocouple did not drop a single degree while the r/h dropped from 80% to 50% then the unit dropped the temp.
