I have had it with this ridiculous nonsense. We have a 19ft trailer we use very often. EVERY NIGHT the propane system shuts off. I've been reading on this problem for a couple weeks now and it really doesn't seem like it gets cold enough here for this to be happening.
We live in California and the coldest it has gotten here is 28F on ONE night. An average night is between 30-40F. Everything I have read talks about using propane in -20F temps and at THAT point having problems. The water heater and stove work just fine until dark and it starts getting cold.
I have 20# tanks and have tried topping them off. Didn't do jack.
At this point I'm ready to take a match to the whole damn trailer.
Before I make my own special smores I was wondering what else could be causing this?
I'm thinking maybe the propane regulator could be bad? But if so it worked perfectly fine through Summer and Fall and didn't give me problems until it got cold. Can someone recommend a good cold weather regulator?
Any advice is appreciated.
You have a problem of some sort and it's not the gas we know as propane, which is generally trouble-free and reliable. Track the problem down and you'll be fine.
