Thanks to everyone for the responses. Let me try to address all the questions.
Trailer is a 1983 Hi-Lo.
We do NOT use the furnace. Ever. As such I can't say if it's shutting down but it's definitely not kicking on. All I can say is if you turn the stove on, nothing comes out. And the water heater pilot goes out and will not light again. For example, it's 3pm and I just got the water heater lit again. It will not light early in the morning either. Could be due to ice needing to melt as others have suggested.
The trailer is parked at the moment and connected to local power and water.
I believe this renders the battery charge a moot point.
As far as the propane goes I was using Blue Rhino and exchanging tanks instead of refilling. I am not doing that anymore and last time refilled using Amerigas.
I haven't emptied them and let them dry out. That also sounds like a good place to start once I have an empty tank. (I assume to do this you just leave the valve open?)I haven't done anything with the regulator yet.
From what I can tell it's shutting off in the dead of night. 1-2 am. It's still on before we go to bed around 10-11.
I was wondering about moisture but I am not really sure what to do about that. I don't have an air compressor to blow out the lines. I read somewhere that there is a screw on the regulator that I could loosen to let moisture drain out?
Altitude is 85.3 ft above sea level. This shouldn't be a factor but I'm no expert obviously.
This is the first I have heard of oil traps. Is there something I should do to check this?
Hallock 5- I think that's what I am going to do to start.
