Hi all!
I am still having some issues with my LP system but I am slowly but surely getting it done.
I have a question though.
I have just replaced my regulator, and LP pigtails (all with Mr. Heater products).
I also discovered an inline solenoid in my main LP lines under the rig. I got lucky and found some folks that specialize in HiLo repairs and sent them pics of the solenoid.
Come to find out it's not supposed to be on the trailer at all. it's an after market mod someone somewhere did.
My issue is that the system is working okay, but now I smell propane pretty badly. My problem is I changed the parts, and cleaned the solenoid all at the same times so I can't isolate which could be the cause.
My question is this though. After replacing a regulator have any of you had to adjust the water heater or any appliances? I keep smelling gas near my water heater so I am wondering if the LP flow is better/less restricted with all the new gear and I need to turn down my pilot light.
I'm going to remove the stupid solenoid and replace the entire section of black iron pipe where it is this weekend. But I am wondering if it could be more related to the other things I changed?
Oh, and the reason I am pretty interested in the water heater is that LP flows through it as soon as it is moved from the off position.
Meaning when I try to light the pilot, I don't have to hold down the red button to get LP to flow.
