The Can Tire one seems identical except the manual says it is 1000w continuous vs 900w in the manual for the other one. Most of the two manuals are the same wording except for a few things related to warranty and tech support info. Plus half the Can Tire manual is in French! :)
My experience with Northern is that you have to be very careful with purchasing as they have "facsimile" products made with their branding. Most of what they sell is pure junk, I mean not even Harbor Freight or Can Tire quality.
My last purchase at Northern was a pack of black rubber bungee straps. The first two I used snapped and nearly put a hole in me. When I was returning them, another customer with a 1 month old jack was bitching because they wouldn't take the broken jack back. He stated he had used it twice.
Caveat emptor.
