I see there are tons of you tube video's on easy soft starters, I may not even know enough to ask my question right but here goesOn our TT an houseboat we use the Honda 2K, Is there such a thing as an inline soft starter that can be simply pluged into my power cord between the Honda an TT or Houseboat?

Soft starter needs direct access to the windings on the motor, which it can't get just through the power cord. they all need to be installed internally.another option here:Single Phase Soft Starter

So when I looked up a start up soft startI see it cost 300$, so that is what it costto get my small window unit to work on my small gen
