I would read this in detail. This is info from someone who uses solar energy.
I recently priced out what he had and found I could get more than what he had at the time of the writing for about $2000.
I haven't bought it yet as efficiency and cost continue to decline and I am not yet full time but I am keeping up with what works. Hope this helps.
