Solar-- Normal vs Standard ?

There was some argy-bargy recently about normal vs standard specs for a MorningStar controller. Now I see all of a sudden, normal vs standard specs for a solar panel! It seems 'they' are saying that "normal" is 800 irr instead of the "standard" 1000 irr.
