Yes, multiple charging sources work.
I can use the OEM converter, hybrid inverter/charger, solar, and alternator, all at the same time. The converter and the inverter/charger would be powered via shore power or generator.
In real life, I leave the converter disconnected from the 120 volt source.
I do have a bi directional amp meter between the alternator and the house batteries. It often shows power flowing from the house to the engine.
