It could if you wanted it to.
You can run some 120v things from the inverter instead of using the generator. What you can do for how long before the generator is needed (or solar) to then recharge the batteries depends on the set-up.
We don't know if you are a newbie or already know how to do all this.
This is a good forum to get info if you want. But first, please tell us the exact model of inverter/charger so we know the wattage of the inverter and the amps of the charger, and whether the inverter is PSW.
That info would be useless without also knowing the size of your battery bank, and whether there is room to expand it. To top it off, what is the model of generator so we can tell how much of a battery charger it can run while also doing other 120v things?
