Solar Branch Connector OK under panel or exposed?

I have some extra wire from my roof mounted solar panels. Is OK to loop it and stick it under the panels along with the branch connector or better to just tape it down with Eternabond and leave it ex...

Any connection is a potential weak point. Make them accessible one way or the other. I have had an MC4 connector break for no reason.
