Solar Branch Connector OK under panel or exposed?

I have some extra wire from my roof mounted solar panels. Is OK to loop it and stick it under the panels along with the branch connector or better to just tape it down with Eternabond and leave it ex...

I did just as you are proposing...all connectors and a loop of excess wire tie-wrapped up under the panel. Easy enough to pull out for inspection and maintenance plus connectors are out of the elements as much as possible.
