If the Bogart charger is used in conjunction with the Trimetric meter and that meter and all van electrics including solar, converter and meter are run through a shunt, the controller will absolutely know when to switch charging modes based on amps used and amps required for charging and those parameters can be tailored to your specific battery, not some generic battery. Every input and every output, including your fridge, should be run through that shunt, not directly through the battery. Temperature compensation is another $30.
