For those who have 2 battery banks, pwm works out nicely. PWM controllers are so cheap and if you have 2 panels, connect a pwm controller to each panel. In the morning both controllers charge battery bank A. Some time in the morning bank A goes into absorption and solar power is drastically reduced. One panel can now easily supply enough current to bank A. You can now switch one of the controllers to start charging bank B. All it takes is a toggle switch.
