Mr Wiz, RJ's contraption fits into a receiver, which he has on the front of his MH and on the back. So you could put yours on the other end from where the bike goes.
Yes, mid-day flat is almost as good as tilted down South in summer, so that explains that. I think you could get more amps at those times by making it into two arrays and using both controllers in parallel on the batteries, but can't say how often it would pay off for the bother. Could use some switches like those 1,2,both things maybe to make it easy to operate. ( Using the MPPT on both for the finshing algorithm at higher SOC when that ever happens)
So you need:
-a third controller so you can split the roof into two arrays plus have an RJ array (a $25 20amper will do nicely)
- a couple more used panels you can liberate from somewhere.
-an RJ contraption and receiver
