To each their own - Good to see everyone has an opinion
Low cost or as some say Cheap controllers work fine for some
Others because "We Can" as one of the first posters stated
Purchase what ever we want without any worry about the price
For me the high tech "toy" which is the fully programmable MPPT controller meets my needs, a 60amp controller and 550 watts w/ 40Voc array works for my personal RV installation. While cheap PWM controllers work great for the several solar powered out buildings on the property.
The older the boy the more expensive the toy
