What if you want 280W? The MS MPPT is designed for max 200W. Now you need a > $300 MPPT controller.
PWM:
2 x 12V 140W @ $359
PWM controller @ $30
Total: $390
MPPT:
I'll use $1/watt, so 280W @ $280
MPPT Controller: $300
Total $580
The MPPT system costs $200 more.

All from same place, Solar BLVD. Not a huge difference IMO.
For $40 I will take the extra features of good MPPT. Cheep MPPT might even be a price match with PWM. Now who is the sucker?
