No way can the typical RV units run from inverter without a substantial battery bank and solar investment (which few have roof space for). Then there's the differing usage scenarios where some people use A/C at low temps (like 80F) so cycling is low. I'm a desert rat so A/C doesn't come on till triple digits. I would need a monster bank and loads of solar. There was a couple of interesting discussions on the feasibility of doing this, consensus was battery capacity was easy, recharging for the next day of usage was the difficult part.
Um, well... either those threads are wrong or the authors have different setups than I do.
