I like to use one of these when the MPPT or PWM controller argues with the laws of battery chemistry. Simply TAP into a series panel string when using MPPT to arrive at a logical "last 10%" ampere rate. On a PWM size (calculate) the gauge of the wire to throttle amperage charge rate.
