For me electrical power conservation is not needed
Typically no one within many miles of use so no issue with bothering camping neighbors. The boats trolling battery bank gets topped off every evening which again makes the controller go into MPPT mode. The GPS interfaced trolling motors sure are fun!!!
Let me dig it up. I found a couple of papers on the new solar testing spec to be published that confirmed the loss after a certain angle of glass covered PVs is just the reflection loss vs what is passed through the glass. That effect dominates vs variables such as what solar technology is used once you get to a certain angle, maybe 70 degrees?
