Yes, I think it should be noted early in this thread so it doesn't slide off the rails that the OP is not considering solar charging as most RV'ers do, as a power source when off-grid, but as an adjunct to permanent 120V service. The end goals are different. The gear required would be somewhat different, also.
I think the OP has to better clarify his intentions so that focus can be made on his particular situation.
Clouding the original thread are the extremely fast discharge reported of his present batteries and the use of the idiot lights as a measuring system. Both of these matters need to be rectified so the OP can compare different battery styles and amount of AH needed in any situation.
The choice of solar charging gear then becomes a matter of off-grid living and duration or the presence of shore 120V supply and duration at that.
