I have a 2001 Lance 845 with a 125w panel and two group 27 batteries. I travel in it about 6 months of the year and never reach the 50% discharge level on the batteries. I usually drive about 100 miles a day to a new campground, which charges the batteries. However, I've also stayed at the same place for 3 to 4 days. I don't have a generator and never plug in to 110v. Don't have microwave or a/c.
If your use is similar to mine, I don't think you need any more watts.
Enjoy Alaska. It's beautiful!
Thanks for the input.
My main concern with battery capacity is the 3 nights we booked at Tek Campground in Denali. During this time the truck cannot be driven. I don't think we are big power users, especially with 20+ hours of daylight. But then again we could go days with very little sun. If I can match another panel up I would just as soon do it while I am working on it.
Thanks again!
