OK,
Here is where I am at on this solar install. I ordered the second panel listed above (Newpowa 50W) and a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 controller and various MC4 connectors, 2 Y adaper cables, panel brackets and an entry gland.
Does everyone here agree with what was stated earlier in this thread about not need any fuses?
Also, I would like a way to shut the power down going in to the controller from the panels for service. I would like to mount it on the cabinet where the solar power comes in from the roof. Ideally it would be a DC rated single throw/double pole switch so I could switch the + & - both off. Anyone have any links or suggestions for this?
And what about a fuse between the controller and the battery......I was thinking a 15A? Does that sound OK?
