Starting to think I may have to go with some sort of battery disconnect switch for the solar panel disconnect. This one if I only wanted to kill the positive feed.

Or this one if I wanted to kill positive and negative both. Is it really necessary to disconnect both positive and negative?

I think one of these would be easy for me to mount too. I could mount it to the removal panel that gives access to the radio wiring. This is the area where the solar wires enter from the roof. This panel is inside the cabinet, so you won't see the switch when the door is closed.
