Solar Generators
New to me, don't like them using "generator" to confuse things, but anyway, some folks are using them with their RVs. Anybody with opinions on these things wrt RVing? It seems they can be an alt...

Sounds like marketing mumbo-jumbo to make people think they are getting something they aren't.
No one refers to solar power systems as "solar generators".
A solar system with batteries and inverter is quite common but is far more limited unless you get a really big system...even then running high draw items like air/con is at best a challenge if not outright impossible.
If you are considering a solar system, search the forum for solar and you will find lots of threads on the subject (alternatively there is even more applicable info on marine forums as solar is far more common on cruising boats). It's really not that hard to add solar but you need to understand the limitations of what you are buying.
