It is quite different making an educated "guess" vs real life. If I had not repurposed to full time, my existing system was more than enough to take care of all my needs. Now I need/want to upgrade.
This year's major expense is a larger psw inverter. Next year, I'll most probably be starting over on solar and spending about three grand. The goal is to run the air conditioner from solar/inverter/batteries.
If the next year's system works as I hope, I'll be able to get rid of generator use.
I do keep records of use and I average about $5.00 per day on shore power (plugging in at homes, not campgrounds).
$5 x 365 = $1825.00
